The resort is a 30 minute drive from Nassau International Airport and across the street from the Paradise Island Seaplane and Heliport.

PARADISE ISLAND, THE BAHAMAS – Kerzner International’s spectacular Atlantis, Paradise Island resort rises magically from the turquoise lagoons and blue Atlantic of The Bahamas, and is known worldwide as a resort destination that is truly redefining family entertainment and gaming in the tropics.

A vibrant tribute to fun and playfulness, Atlantis is also the perfect location for the many films, television shows, concerts and sporting events that have emanated from the grounds. The resort offers more than 2,300 guest accommodations – the Royal Towers, Coral Towers and Beach Tower – 35 restaurants, bars and lounges, the most exciting casino in the Caribbean, extensive meeting facilities including the largest ballroom in the Bahamas/Caribbean region, and a yacht marina capable of handling the largest of private luxury vessels.

The focal point of the resort’s unique family entertainment experience are 11 million gallons of fresh and salt-water swimming pools, amazing water adventures, cascading waterfalls, a seemingly endless stretch of beach that has been called the most beautiful in the world, and a marine habitat second only to Mother Nature: a remarkable, unparalleled assortment of exhibit lagoons and underwater formations displaying 200 species of marine life, consisting of 50,000 live animals, ranging from schools of sharks to rainbows of tropical fish.

Among the most dramatic features of Atlantis are soaring arches, domes and spires, the enormous 70-foot ceiling of the Great Hall of Waters, the dazzling Temple of the Sun and Temple of the Moon and the most spectacular and exclusive suite at any resort, The Bridge Suite.

These and many other features create a scale that is larger than life, an apt reflection of Kerzner International Chairman Sol Kerzner’s boundless and bold optimism and emphatic belief that a resort should transport its guests into a dazzling, imaginative and entire world of its own – like a movie set. Thus, it is fitting that Atlantis also served as the location – from the beaches, to the Bridge Suite, to the lobbies to the bars – for many Hollywood events, including ABC’s My Wife and Kids, New Line Cinema’s After the Sunset, the annual Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational golf tournament (televised on NBC) and a plethora of hip parties and celebrity events that continue to draw entertainment’s biggest names.

The Entertainment Center, featuring the largest casino in the Caribbean, is the focal point of 100,000 square feet of gaming, dining and entertainment space. Restaurants and lounges cater to all tastes, each with its own theme or style, and many celebrate the legend of Atlantis and the mighty figures of Greek mythology. These include Atlas Bar & Grill, with its video café, and the elegant Five Twins, with its cigar bar, sate and sushi bar, and dance floor, both offering indoor and outdoor dining in the casino. The resort’s three main restaurants are festive tributes to the world’s national cuisines and bountiful dining, including an appetizing international marketplace in the Royal Towers.

Fathoms, a dramatically beautiful seafood restaurant, and the Café at the Great Hall of Waters both afford picture window views into The Dig. The series of ancient passageways, chambers and corridors with magnificent vistas into deep water environments inhabited by thousands of fish, sharks, rays, piranhas and other denizens of the deep, offer an imaginative, total immersion into the lost civilization of Atlantis. Beyond The Dig, the fun of Atlantis continues in a remarkable play land of water thrills and swimming pools, all of which can be heated for year-round enjoyment.

A life-size replica of an ancient Mayan temple features five water slides – two of which catapult riders through a lagoon filled with sharks. The Leap of Faith slide offers the daring and adventurous a 60 ft. almost-vertical drop from the top of the Temple, propelling riders at a tremendous speed through a clear acrylic tunnel submerged in the shark-filled lagoon. The Serpent slide, 48 ft. up the Temple, spins its riders into the blackness of the Temple’s mysterious core before they emerge through the shark-filled lagoon at a leisurely “shark-viewing” pace. The Challengers, two high-speed dueling slides and the Jungle Slide, which meanders through exotic jungle and caves, provide more thrills and excitement. Other slides, for younger riders or those with more trepidation, offer a gentler trip into pools connected by still
other water adventures.

Among the swimming areas: a formal pool, a zero-entry pool, a children’s pool, a half-mile Lazy River Ride and, of course, saltwater lagoons, including a seven-acre snorkeling lagoon, and the magnificent ocean itself.

Other recreational opportunities at Atlantis include all manners of sports activities at The Sports Center at Atlantis features ten all-weather tennis courts, a four-lane lap pool, basketball and volleyball courts and an 18-hole, par-three golf course designed by PGA professionals.

For golfers desiring championship play, Atlantis offers the Tom Weiskopf- designed 18-hole Ocean Club Golf Course nearby.

The luxurious Mandara Spa at Atlantis provides a complete range of sensory-pleasing treatments and services to rejuvenate the body and the spirit.

One of the most exciting features of Atlantis is the deep-water Atlantis Marina where the largest luxury yachts dock, disembarking their passengers for an evening at the casino or a day of water activities.

Capable of handling 63 yachts up to 220 feet in length, with its own 100-foot channel into Nassau Harbor, the Marina has made Atlantis the “Monté Carlo of the Americas”, attracting the most famous sailors from around the world.

Guest accommodations at Atlantis are offered in several categories, including queen and king rooms, as well as regal, grand, presidential, and royal suites. In addition to the spectacular Bridge Suite, guests have a choice of the luxury Royal Towers, Coral Tower and the more-relaxed Beach Tower. All rooms have satellite television, in-room movies, safes and mini-bars, direct-dial telephones and are brightly and tastefully decorated in tropical colors. Many of the suites feature walk-in closets and showers, whirlpool tubs, his and her bathrooms with bidets, separate dressing areas, separate bar and pantry areas, and large balconies depending on the category selected.

The one-of-a-kind Bridge Suite, perched 17 stories above Atlantis with spectacular views of Paradise Island and the Caribbean, offers 2,500 square feet of entertainment space, an 800-square foot balcony, two bedrooms and the ultimate in bathroom and living facilities and amenities.

True to Kerzner International’s reputation for the highest standards in facilities and services down to the smallest detail, all accommodations at Atlantis offer a level of quality that continues to set the standards of vacation pleasure in The Bahamas.
